SLCP Verification FAQ

The Social & Labor Convergence Program (SLCP) is a multi-stakeholder initiative committed to improving working conditions in global supply chains. It replaces repeated social audits with one assessment that is verified once and shared with many brands and buyers.

The CAF is the SLCP assessment tool, developed by SLCP signatories. It has three parts: data collection through a facility self-assessment, verification of that data by an SLCP-approved verifier, and sharing of the verified data through the SLCP Gateway and connected platforms.

A Verifier Body is an organisation approved by SLCP to verify facility self-assessments using the SLCP verification methodology. The facility selects a Verifier Body on the assessment platform; the Verifier Body then plans and performs the on-site verification.

Yes. IQMC Certification is an approved Verifier Body under the Social & Labor Convergence Program and conducts SLCP verifications independently in accordance with the SLCP Converged Assessment Framework. Verifications are carried out by qualified, APSCA-registered auditors, and IQMC is a Full Member firm of APSCA.

Complete the SLCP self-assessment on an Active Accredited Host (currently Worldly), select IQMC as your Verifier Body, and submit the online application at dashboardiqmcglobal.com/apply. IQMC then finalises the scope, schedule and verification team with you.

On an Active Accredited Host, which is the platform where facilities complete self-assessments, verifiers submit findings and facilities share the final report. SLCP currently lists Worldly as the Active Accredited Host. Inspectorio and Retraced are Passive Accredited Hosts, used for sharing and analysing verified data.

The verification team reviews documents, inspects the facility and interviews workers to validate the information in the self-assessment. Every response is then checked against the available evidence and the observations made on site.

The finalised verified data is uploaded to the SLCP platform and stored on the SLCP Gateway, a free platform built and operated by the International Trade Centre. SLCP advises sharing the report as a secure Gateway link rather than an email attachment, because the link proves the report is authentic and unchanged.

SLCP is designed so that one verified assessment can be shared with many end users instead of each brand auditing separately. SLCP reports that more than 100 organisations accept SLCP data. Whether a particular customer accepts it in place of its own audit is that customer's decision, so confirm with each brand.

Yes. The IQMC application form covers SLCP verification, Code of Conduct audits and CTPAT audits, so a facility that needs more than one can apply once.
