IQMC — Work for TrustApply for SLCP verification

How it works

SLCP Verification Process, Step by Step

An SLCP verification with IQMC follows the Converged Assessment Framework: the facility collects its own data, an approved verifier checks it on site, and the verified result is shared through the SLCP Gateway. This is what happens at each step.

Stage 1 · Data collection

  1. Facility self-assessment. The facility completes the SLCP self-assessment on an approved platform. Assessments are created and completed on an Active Accredited Host, currently Worldly, which connects to the SLCP Gateway.
  2. Verification request. The facility selects IQMC as its Verifier Body to perform the SLCP verification.

Stage 2 · Verification

  1. Verification planning. IQMC finalises the verification scope, the schedule and the verification team with the facility.
  2. On-site verification. Verifiers review documents, inspect the facility and interview workers to validate the information submitted in the self-assessment.
  3. Data validation. Every response in the self-assessment is checked against the available evidence and the observations made on site.

Stage 3 · Sharing and improvement

  1. Verification completion. The finalised verified data is uploaded to the SLCP platform, where the facility shares it with authorised stakeholders.
  2. Continuous improvement. The facility uses the verified results to improve workplace practices and strengthen its social compliance system.

Where the verified data lives

The SLCP Gateway is the central hub of the SLCP data ecosystem. It is built and operated by the International Trade Centre, is free to use, and is where SLCP data is securely stored so it can flow between platforms and stakeholders.

SLCP itself does not score the data. Scoring, mapping and analysis are offered by approved technology partners called Accredited Hosts:

  • Active Accredited Host (currently Worldly): where facilities complete self-assessments, verifiers submit findings and facilities share final reports. Worldly is the exclusive provider of the Higg Facility Social & Labor Module (FSLM).
  • Passive Accredited Hosts (currently Inspectorio and Retraced): used to share and analyse verified data, not to complete or verify assessments.

SLCP advises facilities to share the verified report as a secure Gateway link rather than as an email attachment. The link proves the report is authentic and has not been changed after verification, and a brand needs no login to open it.

Before the verifier arrives

Most delays come from evidence that is not ready for the document review. The preparation checklist lists what to have in place before requesting verification.
